the only one perfume

Unfortunately, I do tend to wear my perfumes to please those around me as well as myself, and only two people have said this smells nice out of about the 20 plus people I have asked. Like a fall/winter chance for me. I absolutely love this perfume. Its middle notes consist of pear, rose, iris, orange blossom, and coffee. My only complaint is that it doesn’t last as long as I’d like. I get some lovely resins in The Only One in addition to the official notes, which makes it different from YSL Black Opium and flankers. Naughty boys are Stefano and Domenico... this is the exact clone of a very popular number dating 80/90s. On me it is syrupy and dark...kind of made me sad to wear it even though I like the notes listed. This fragrance opens with top notes of bergamot, orange, and violet. The coffee makes a spirited entrance, with an almost dynamic frothy quality (like the milk for the latte is being steamed on the spot). The notes are Red Berries, blackberry, powdery red rose essence, freesia, pear, tonka beans, patchouli and ambery woods..... Fragrantica really needs to catch up. I tested it briefly on my skin and was pleasantly surprised as to how strong and nice it smelt rather than getting a sharp patchouli note that many patch containing fragrances do on me. A richness from coffee and a fresh feel from the citrus. This is going to be my signature scent for a while and I don’t see myself ever tiring of it. To me this is very similar to a toned down version of YSL Libre. It is the latest version of the 2006 fragrance called The One. I love this one. I read about its coffee note and have been enjoying perfumes with that note in it. I don’t understand the hate for The Only One. Although I quickly become oblivious to the scent that is emanating from my wrist my husband, as he enters the room several hours later, exclaims "What is that perfume??". I’m so upset about this, the notes looked dreamy but I should’ve looked harder and saw the citrus, citrus in gourmand perfumes should not be a thing. This has elements of The One EDT. I like it.. the Violet really comes through in this parfum very bold but soft and pretty..on want list... Do you remember the violet note in Kenzo Flower? I do not smell any bergamot or sour scent whatsoever. I reached for TOO for elegant, subdued date nights: black dress, pumps, and a high-end dinner or show.
